Worthwhile Links I once read that our hobbies are the things we do to make ourselves interesting to ourselves. I know that's true for me. One of the first and still one of the best fan sites on the web, the Van Morrison Home Page provides unmatched insights into the one of rock-and-roll's most enduring artists. Millions of people have banded together to help search for life elsewhere in the universe by donating computing power. So far I've supplied more than 1.5 years worth of Macintosh time to the SETI@home project. If (like me) you are also interested in more conventional astronomy, there's a universe of information on the web. One of my favorite starting points is billed as "A multimedia tour of the solar system" and is called "The Nine Planets." Hockey is the world's best sport, and college hockey is its finest iteration. I also like baseball, and Sacramento's summer nights provide a perfect backdrop for Oakland's AAA farm club, the Rivercats.
