Field Notes of a Rookie Opera Lover

Falstaff
by Giuseppe Verdi

English Touring Opera, April 16, 1993
The Corn Exchange, Cambridge

Can't find my program from this enjoyable performance. I remember it as a show with wonderful movement; the songs weren't great but the staging and choreography were splendid. Good, small orchestra. Wheatley sings a strong Falstaff; very subdued sexuality.
